June 18 2019 The Santa Fe Fuego defeated the White Sands Pupfish 24-4, collecting 23 hits and scoring in six innings. Santa Fe broke through with four runs in the third, erupted for nine in the fourth and added four in the sixth to build a commanding lead. White Sands scored once in the fourth and three times in the seventh but could not close the gap.
Jackson Webb led the Fuego attack with five hits, including two home runs, and five RBI. Dan Johnson added three hits and six RBI, while Troy Maslowski went 4-for-5 with five runs and four RBI. B. Dansereau had four hits, including a home run and a triple, and four RBI. Sherman Graves and Johnson also homered, while Santa Fes home run total included six round-trippers overall.
Jack Herzing earned the win after allowing five hits and four runs, two earned, in seven innings. He struck out nine and walked four. Julian Devora finished the game with two scoreless innings, allowing no hits while striking out two, to record the save. Tanner Dickerson took the loss for White Sands after surrendering four runs on seven hits in three innings.
