White Sands Pupfish Year in Review
Jul 18 2013 12:00AM - The White Sands Pupfish have been eliminated from the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row.
They will finish their home season with a four game series against Trinidad Triggers.
The Pupfish are nestled in between Pecos League Powerhouses Roswell and Alpine in the Southern Divison of the Pecos League
which makes the playoffs a tough task. The 2013 Pupfish had a great pitching staff and some very good hitters.
The Pupfish were dominated by Roswell and Alpine which gave them no chance to enter the playoffs.
A very slow start in May didn't help either.
Justin Kuks started the All Star Game for the Southern Division and is now pitching for the El Paso Diablos.
Cody Collins has one of the best swings in the Pecos League and had a great year playing a variety of infield positions.
JJ Costantino lead the team in average and make the All-Star Team.
Eric Zagone and Chris Peacock have lead the team in innings pitched.
