August 2 2019 The Roswell Invaders defeated the White Sands Pupfish 3-2 in 11 innings. Roswell finished with six hits and one error, while White Sands collected eight hits and also committed one error.
After six scoreless innings, White Sands took a 1-0 lead in the sixth and added another run in the seventh. Roswell answered with two runs in the eighth to take the lead, and scored the deciding run in the 11th. The Invaders held White Sands scoreless over the final four innings.
Jason Ibrahim supplied Roswell’s biggest offensive blow with a home run and two RBI. Daryl Donerson and Kirby Lambert each had two hits, while Austin Maltby added a double. White Sands shortstop Armando Valentin went 3-for-5, and Jose Reyes III had two hits and an RBI. Satoshi Miyata also doubled for the Pupfish.
Albert Neff struck out 11 over seven innings for Roswell, allowing six hits and two earned runs. Kyle Herrick earned the win after three scoreless innings with two strikeouts, and John Saviano recorded the save with a scoreless 11th. White Sands starter Collin Shaw struck out 14 in 7.1 innings but allowed two runs and eight walks. Jordan Young took the loss after allowing one run in 3.2 innings.
