August 1 2019 The Roswell Invaders scored 10 runs in the eighth inning to pull away for a 24-11 victory over the White Sands Pupfish. Roswell collected 21 hits and built an 8-1 lead through three innings before White Sands cut the deficit to 14-11 after seven innings.
Matt Paciello led Roswell with four hits and five RBI. Austin Maltby added two hits, three RBI and a home run, while Daryl Donerson scored six runs and Nolan Hoff drove in three. A. Stubblefield also contributed four RBI, and Kirby Lambert had two hits, three RBI and a triple.
White Sands received a four-hit, four-RBI performance from Armando Valentin. Elan Trischitta drove in two runs, and TK Koontz added a hit and an RBI. The Pupfish scored six times in the fifth inning and twice in each of the sixth and seventh, but Roswell answered with two runs in the sixth before its decisive 10-run eighth.
Dalton Mitchell earned the win for Roswell after allowing seven runs on seven hits over five innings while striking out four. Derrick Sylve followed with 2.2 innings and four runs allowed, and Harry Montero recorded a scoreless ninth. White Sands starter Gabe Gonzalez took the loss after surrendering 11 runs on nine hits and eight walks in four innings.
