Triggers Defeat Pupfish 5-1

July 21 2019 The Trinidad Triggers defeated the White Sands Pupfish 5-1. Trinidad finished with eight hits and no errors while White Sands also collected eight hits but committed one error.

Trinidad took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, added two runs in the fourth and scored twice more in the eighth. Jakob Shuler hit a two-run home run and finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. J. Hodges also homered for Trinidad and drove in two runs. Jacob Cobb-Adams added two hits and an RBI, while Nick Stoll recorded a double.

Cobb-Adams earned the win after allowing six hits and one earned run in five innings with three walks and two strikeouts. Skyler Henderson, Ryan Patrick and C. Strayer combined to allow two hits and no runs over the final four innings. White Sands starter Conor Bawiec took the loss after surrendering five runs on seven hits in eight innings with one walk and five strikeouts. TK Koontz drove in the Pupfishs lone run, and Armando Valentin had two hits including a double.
